The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce has spent the last several weeks showcasing its “Long-Term Member Recognition” initiative for members. Chamber staff has visited members who have been part of the Chamber for 15 years or more. These visits were to thank and recognize businesses for their continued partnership and investment in the local community.

These highlighted businesses have supported the Chamber mission, contributed to the local economy, and remained engaged through periods of growth and change. Their continued membership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the business community in Liberty County. Each visit included a custom plaque, a certificate, a commemorative photo, and a confetti celebration. These visits provided an opportunity for Chamber staff to personally thank members for their years of support.

“It means a lot to be able to personally thank our members and show that we are here to support them,” said membership specialist Jennifer Mejia.

The longest-recorded member of the LCCOC for this summer’s project, at 46 years, is Coastal Electric Cooperative. They became a member in 1996 and have been an active participant in many projects. The Chamber applauds them on this milestone.

“We could not be more grateful to Chris Fettes and Coastal Electric for their decades of dedication to the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce. These guys and gals go above and beyond every day, and we celebrate them,” said Leah Poole, president and CEO, Liberty County Chamber of Commerce/CVB.
