City left in the dark after truck accident
No power

UPDATE: Most power restored by 1 p.m. The Courier office is  now operational.

PREVIOUS STORY:

There are still many Hinesville downtown businesses that have no power after what appears to be a food service truck plowed into two different light poles around 8:45 Monday morning. The incident happened at the intersection of Gause Street and Rolland Street. Georgia Power crews are on site to begin repairs however could take some time. By noon several areas were restored but spots along downtown Main Street remain without power.
