CASA to host 3rd Annual Toy Drive Atlantic Area Court Appointed Special Advocates, Inc. (also known as CASA), is currently hosting their 3rd Annual CASA Toy Drive. Each donation will be given the children advocated by CASA Volunteers. The non-profit organization, established back in 1999, advocates for abused and neglected children that have been placed in foster care through juvenile court proceedings in six counties, including Liberty, Long and Tattnall.

From now through Dec. 11, community members and businesses can donate toys and gift cards to the CASA office, located at 1113 East Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville.

All toys must be new and unwrapped and gift cards must be at a minimum of twenty dollars. For more information call 912-876-3816 or head over to www.atlanticareacasa.com.

Dec. 4

Liberty County Chamber of Commerce 24th annual Christmas parade in downtown Hinesville at 6 p.m.

Dec. 5

The Season of HOPE 2020 is sponsoring a “Drive Thru” Gift and Food Basket Giveaway on Saturday, December 12, 2020 (12pm - 2pm). Each family must register to attend by December 5, 2020.

Dec. 7 City of Flemington Workshop The Mayor and Council of the City of Flemington will conduct a Council Workshop on Monday, Dec, 7, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The purpose of the Workshop is to discuss future growth of the City with the Coastal Regional Commission. The Workshop will be held at the LaQuinta.

Interested persons are invited to attend live via Zoom. The link is posted on the City of Flemington’s webpage which is www.cityofflemington.org and on Facebook.

Dec. 9 CVB Board meeting The Liberty County Convention & Visitors Bureau (LCCVB) will host its bi-monthly board meeting on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at the Historic Bacon Fraser House located at 208 East Court Street Hinesville, GA. The meeting purpose is to make decisions, discuss previous events, go over the agenda, plan and evaluate future events, promotions, and solve any problems. It is open to the public.
