The public is invited to join the board, members and staff of Center for a Sustainable Coast in celebrating 25 years protecting Georgia’s Coast on Saturday June 4 at 5836 Islands Highway (six miles east of I-95 Midway exit) from 2-5 p.m. Honored guest speaker is Janisse Ray, environmental author. There is no registration fee but a $30 donation is suggested.

The Liberty County Convention & Visitors Bureau (LCCVB) will host its bi-monthly board meeting on Wednesday, June 8, at 4 p.m. at the Historic Bacon Fraser House located at 208 East Court Street Hinesville.
The meeting purpose is to make decisions, discuss previous events, go over the agenda, plan and evaluate future events, promotions, and solve any problems. It is open to the public.

Walthourville’s Police Department will host Cops and Cones Summer Splash at Johnnie Frasier Park on June 11, 2022, from 10am to 2pm. There will be waterslides, a dunk tank, hay ride, snow cones, food and games. A designated area will be provided for smaller children. We will be having raffles and prizes. Admission is free for all. Bring the entire family. Follow the event details on Walthourville Police Department Face book page. This entire event is free. There will be raffles and prizes throughout the day. A waiver will be signed before entering and all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. “It is our privilege to protect, serve and work in the community for all of you.” Chief Al Hagan said.

Bethel AME Church Citizens Relying on Spiritual Servants (CROSS) C.R.O.S.S. in conjunction with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Savannah are open to those in need on the 4th Saturday of every month.
Food Bags will be given out from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
C.R.O.S.S. has a clothing ministry giveaway on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month. The ministry is open from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
