City of Midway Public Hearing Notice

A public hearing (Mayor and City Council meeting) will be held Sept. 13, at 6 p.m. at Midway’s City Hall Multi-Complex at 41 Charlie Butler Road. A request by Sheela Eichhorn, prospective business owner, to operate a massage clinic at 242 South Coastal Highway in Midway will be discussed during this hearing. The public is welcome to attend.

HPD investigates possible fatal stabbing

Hinesville police officers responding to a call of an unresponsive person are now conducting a homicide investigation.

According to Hinesville Police Chief Tracey Howard, officers found an unresponsive man shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday morning face down on the ground at the Royal Oaks apartment complex on the 900 block of Pineland Avenue. The man was bleeding from an apparent stab wound.

Howard said the man, identified as Gryan Devon, was taken to Liberty Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.
