County commissioners sworn into new terms

Liberty County Commissioners Marion Stevens, District 1; Donald Lovette, District 2; and Connie Thrift, District 3, were sworn into office Monday, Dec. 20, in the commission board room at the courthouse annex.
Probate Judge Nancy Aspinwall conducted the ceremony, swearing in the commissioners to additional four-year terms. Stevens, Lovette and Thrift were re-elected in November.
The newly sworn-in commissioners have combined more than 25 years of service to Liberty County residents. Stevens was elected and first took office as commissioner of District 1 in January 1999. Lovette was elected and first took office as commissioner of District 2 in January 2003. Thrift was elected and first took office as commissioner of District 3 in January
2003.
