Zaria Thomas honored for excellence in math
The United States Achievement Academy recently recognized Zaria Thomas from Columbia, S.C., for excellence in mathematics.
Zaria, who attends Summit Parkway Middle School, was nominated for this honor by her teacher, Yolanda Kennedy. Zaria will appear in the United States Achievement Academy’s official yearbook, which is published nationally.
Zaria is the daughter of Virgil and Vivian Thomas of Columbia. Her grandparents are Lue Gibson of Ludowici, and Robert and Lillie Lucas of Blytheville, Ark.
