The Bradwell Institute Future Farmers of America chapter visited Coastal Manor Nursing Home in Long County on Thursday to share some holiday cheer with residents. The students sang Christmas carols, talked with residents and brought along their classroom pet, Petunia the pig, which proved to be popular.

"Petunia was a hit. I think the residents enjoyed her more than the carols," FFA President Leann Harman said.

The residents knew all of the songs and enjoyed singing along.

"My favorite part about the evening was seeing the residents so excited about the songs," FFA member Moran Caro said.

The FFA members decided to visit the nursing home as part of their pledge to support the community.
