Monday Experiences are enrichment activities presented by Jordye Bacon Elementary School personnel to students in third through fifth grade. The activities include selections like crafts, technology enrichment, book club, cooking for kids and sewing.
The purpose of the program is three-fold, according to coordinators. First, it affords students opportunities to learn or further develop some skills that will help them to be better students and citizens. Second, the program encourages better behavior because students who misbehave are not allowed to participate or remain in the program. Finally, Monday Experiences give students an outlet for creativity.
