The Liberty County Historical Society is accepting applications for the annual Avis Wisner Memorial Scholarship.
The scholarship provides $1,000 to a college-bound high school senior who lives in Liberty County and who is interested in history.
The scholarship is named in memory of Avis Wisner (1939-2001), a high school teacher, college professor and historian from Liberty County.
