Members of Long County High School FFA chapter attended the Area 6 Awards Banquet May 12 at Ware County High School.

More than 450 FFA members and advisers, school administrators and parents attended. Long County attendees were Elizabeth Coble, Marissa Pitts, Tristen Pitts, Avery Thomasson and Jordan Deloach.
Awards presented included second place for high school treasurer’s book to Coble, who is treasurer of the LCHS chapter.

“Elizabeth worked really hard preparing a book that was competitive on the region and state level,” FFA adviser Helen Young said.
Two Area 6 teachers, including Long County’s Marc Roe, who has served as an agriculture teacher and FFA adviser, were recognized for their retirement.
