Liberty County students stepped up to the plate for a recent fundraiser for the victims of the Haiti earthquakes. Students at every school participated in different fundraising activities. Some schools collected coins, some classrooms had contests, some made a competition out of it, but everyone had a hand in raising $10,000.
Liberty County School System public relations director Demere’ Bowen presented a check to American Red Cross director Mark Hunt on behalf of the school system.
