On March 18, Midway Middle School had its third nine weeks Accelerated Reader/First in Math incentive party. To be invited, students must have at least an 85 percent average and they must meet their individualized Accelerated Reader point goals.
Ninety students met the criteria and attended the party. The top 30 First in Math students were also invited to attend. Students who met criteria for both were awarded $10 movie gift certificates.
The party was in the gym where students played on a giant inflatable slide and got airbrushed tattoos. Media specialist and AR coordinator Cristina Dover and academic coach and First in Math facilitator Joy Kennedy oversee the programs.
