Darton State College students who had outstanding academic accomplishments during the fall 2014 semester have earned inclusion on the dean’s and merit lists.
To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must be full-time and have earned a 3.4 or higher grade point average. For a student to qualify for the merit list, a student must be part-time and have earned a 3.4 or higher grade point average.
 Students from the Coastal Georgia region who were honored include Shilo M. Davis-Houck and Lindsay L. Edwards, both of whom made the merit list and are from Hinesville, and Thomas R. Crutchfield of Ludowici, who made the dean’s list.
Locals graduate from
Ga. Southwestern State
On Dec. 13, 338 students graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University during the fall 2014 commencement ceremony.
Among the graduates were Maighdlin Howard of Ludowici, who earned a Master of Arts in Education in early childhood education, and Xavier Sims of Hinesville, who earned Bachelor of Fine Arts in fine arts.

Locals graduate from Troy University
Troy University recently recognized students who graduated during the second term of the 2014-15 academic year.
Among the term’s graduates are Hinesville natives Shannon McGee, who earned a master’s of public administration, and Carrie Washington, who earned a Master of Science.

Lee makes ABAC dean’s list
TIFTON — Jacob Lee of Midway has made the dean’s list for the fall term at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.  Interim Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs Gail Dillard said the students who qualified for the dean’s list attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and carried at least 12 hours of academic work.
