The Georgia Trial Lawyers Association has announced that the Seventh Amendment Scholarship Essay Competition will return this year.
The competition asks applicants to apply their knowledge of the Seventh Amendment to a real-world situation: “In the past 100 years, which landmark case(s) do you believe has had the most profound effect on the well-being of American citizens and consumers?” Students should submit their completed application and essay by Friday, April 24. A $1,000 grand prize and $500 first runner-up will be awarded. Recipients will be notified in May. For more information, go to www.gtla.org/scholarship.
