The Walker Middle School FBLA members attended a region leadership conference Jan. 20 at Wayne County High School. Thirty-seven students attended and several won awards. The winning students will move on to compete at the state leadership conference March 4 in Macon.

• Second-place winners: Tayler Poole proofreading and editing; Molly Rowe, career explorations; Hannah Golden, business computations; Marissa Perry, internet concepts; and Alex Sanchez, parliamentary procedure

• Fourth-place winners: Molly Rowe, business computations; Love Turner, career explorations; Britney Milton, personal finance; Taylor Cornell, internet concepts; Chris Carter, business concepts; Jashaun Cochran, proofreading and editing; Elijah Joseph, parliamentary procedure; and Mathew Rowe, FBLA concepts
