The Hinesville Area Arts Council will present “LCHS Convergence,” a student and faculty art exhibition featuring work from Liberty County High School, with an opening night reception on September 3 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Hinesville Area Arts Council, 102 Commerce Street in Downtown Hinesville.

Convergence explores the relationship between mentorship and artistic discovery, bringing together work by Liberty County High School students and the school’s 2D and 3D visual arts faculty. The exhibition highlights how classroom instruction can develop into individual creative expression through technical skill, experimentation, collaboration, and creative risk-taking.

Visitors will see a variety of media, including paintings, drawings, sculptural forms, ceramics, mixed-media pieces, and collaborative works. The exhibit is designed to showcase both individual artistic voices and the creative dialogue that takes place between teachers and students in the art studio.

A central theme of Convergence is mentorship. Collaborative projects created by students and teachers demonstrate how artistic growth can be both personal and shared, reflecting teamwork, experimentation, and the development of artistic identity within the Liberty County High School community.

The exhibition also reflects the breadth of work being created at Liberty County High School, with submitted examples ranging from acrylic paintings and graphite drawings to mixed-media collaborative work and large-scale canvas pieces.
