The Hinesville Police Department has been named a 2024 grant recipient by Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, receiving $38,520 to increase lifesaving capabilities in the city. The grant will be used to purchase automated external defibrillators, or AEDs, to be placed in HPD patrol vehicles.

“We are grateful to the foundation and our local Firehouse Subs in the city limits of Hinesville for awarding us this grant,” said Cpl. Lisa Joseph. “The new AEDs will fulfill a critical need within our department and allow our officers to be trained in life-saving techniques for the citizens of Hinesville. With quick access to an AED, our police officers can swiftly administer treatment to individuals experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, improving survival rates within our city.”
