Liberty County escaped the brunt of Hurricane Ian’s impacts.

Liberty County Emergency Management Agency Director Robert Dodd said there were about 24 calls on downed trees and powerlines and there were a few power outages. All power is back on and all trees and powerlines are being taken care of, according to Dodd.

Fort Stewart reported that it had minor power outages that were resolved quickly, as well as a couple of downed trees, which were cleared and removed on Friday.

The center of Ian made landfall Saturday afternoon along the South Carolina coast.
