Fans of the local Krispy Kreme donut shop need not worry, despite many residents who saw fire trucks in the eatery's parking lot on Sunday. At about 11:43 a.m. Sunday, an exhaust fan attached to one of the machines which processes donuts malfunctioned. This caused steam and smoke to back up in it. According to Hinesville Fire Department Captain Robert Kitchings, no damage was caused by the malfunctioning exhaust. The store will remain closed until the machinery is repaired. No injuries were reported.
