The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the 2018-2019 Leadership Liberty class graduation with lunch at Izola’s Country Café on Friday, June 21.
Chamber/CVB CEO Leah Poole congratulated the class on the completion of the program and presented each graduate with a plaque.
This year’s class held a fundraiser giving away a basket of gifts totalling over $275 and donations from the LaQuinta Inn& Suites, Tara Ruby Photography and a mosquito spray from Magnum Pest Control. The funds were used to raise money for Youth Challenge Academy and Meals of Hope. The class presented a total of $1,200 to the organizations during the luncheon. Kimberly Robinson, owner of K&M Xtreme Clean, won the prize basket.
Going into its fourteenth year, Leadership Liberty is an eight-month class, which meets at least once per month to focus on some area of the community. Applications are available for the 2019-2020 class beginning in July. To nominate someone or to receive an application, contact Leah Poole at 912-368-4445 or email director@libertycounty.org. The deadline for application submission is August 9, 2019.
