Ludowici mayoral candidates James Fuller and Robert Parker will speak at the Long County Chamber of Commerce’s semiannual breakfast gathering Tuesday.

Chamber President Ray Howard said each candidate will be given a short period to introduce himself and tell voters why he should lead Ludowici for the next four years.

Mayor James Fuller is serving his first term as mayor after being an employee with the city of Ludowici for 27 years. Prior to taking office in 2012, he served as the city’s water supervisor, and prior to that as a member of the police department, where he also was the police chief.

Parker is currently the deputy coroner for Long County, having served in that position since 2006. He is currently a partner at Low Country Cremation Services and Burial and was previously employed as a deputy with the Long County Sheriff’s Office.

Though the candidates will not field questions from the floor at the breakfast, both will be available after its conclusion to talk with anyone who has any questions for them.

The mayoral election will take place Nov. 3.

The breakfast will take place at Compass Worship Center in Ludowici at 7 a.m. Tuesday. The cost to eat and to attend the event is $8.
