Long County woman arrested for aggravated assault

The Statesboro Police Department arrested a Long County woman on May 13, after they completed their investigation of an incident that occurred at a Statesboro restaurant on April 21. Grace Eun Hae Lee, 21, of Ludowici, was arrested, according to the report.

SPD officers responded to 470 South Main Street, the location of a local restaurant/bar, regarding a female who had entered the premises and threatened multiple employees with a handgun. The report stated the female suspect became irate at the wait to enter the business and pulled a handgun, pointing it at the hostess and pushing her physically. The suspect then pointed the firearm at other employees of the establishment before leaving.

A detective was assigned to the case obtained the video surveillance of the incident and of the suspect’s movements prior to, and after, the incident. This included use of a set of cameras currently linked into the new Fusus Real Time Crime Center. Community tips contributed to the investigation and the detective was able to identify the suspect as Lee. Warrants were issued for Lee’s arrest and she was taken into custody with the assistance of the Long County Sheriff’s Office. Lee was transported to the Bulloch County Jail where she remains pending further judicial action.
