A man working in the Sunbury area was taken to a Savannah hospital after an accident Thursday morning.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., Liberty County deputies responded to the 600 block of Catbird Road in reference to an injured male.

Preliminary information indicates that the male was loading a tree into a dump truck when the tree became dislodged from the grapple and struck the cab of the tractor, causing injuries. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.

The individual was transported by LifeStar to Memorial Hospital in Savannah for treatment.
