A man was struck by an small utility vehicle Saturday morning while attempting to cross the 700 block of East Oglethorpe Highway shortly after 6:30 am.

According to Hinesville Traffic Investigator Micheal Ramirez, the man who had no identification on him was attempting to cross the road from the westbound lane to the eastbound lane heading In the direction of Old Country Buffet.  

The man was transported to Winn Army Community Hospital on Fort Stewart and later transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah where he is listed in critical condition.

The accident is under investigation.
