According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper Kieth Kerrick, the accident occurred on Highway 99. Kerrick said the incident is currently under investigation, but said the male bicyclist was struck from behind around 8:30 a.m. by a motorist on Highway 99 and Harvest Lane NE in Townsend and declared deceased at the scene.
