Out of this world teacher
Busby

On May 6, NASA celebrated teachers and some, including Frank Long Elementary gifted teacher Becky Busby, had a chance to talk with Chris Cassidy, currently living aboard the International Space Station.Busby, a member of Space Center Houston’s international network of educators, participated. “When the quarantine started, I didn’t want to stop our exploration into space. In my virtual lessons, my students use an app called Nearpod where I embed my entire lesson. The app allows my students to interact with different content, watch videos, play games against each other, and learn more about the future of space flight,” she said. “The quarantine has encouraged me to reinvent myself as a teacher and as a student.” Busby’s advice to parents during this time, “take this time to reinvent and revitalize your family.  In order to be successful in this adventure we all have to have a strong dose of patience and peace. Take breaks, give yourself space, and it’s okay to not be perfect.” To view the NASA article, go to https://go.nasa.gov/36bCmYW.
