The Coastal Chapter of National Wild Turkey Federation’s 30th Conservation Banquet will be Thursday.

The federation was created in 1973 and says it has become the force behind the resurgence of wild turkey populations nationwide.
The Coastal Chapter was chartered in 1985, headed by Andrew Standard, Ren Keel and the late Odis King. Standard is still active.

The banquet Thursday will be at the Dorchester School Civic Center east of Interstate 95. Doors open at 6 p.m. with a barbecue dinner at 7. There will be silent and live auctions, door prizes, a bar, as well as numerous gun raffles. For tickets and information call or text Jay Harwell at 912-977-4325.
