Two pageants are scheduled for later this week — one in Liberty County and the other in Long.
Liberty County
The Cosmopolitan Club will present its annual Miss Teenage Liberty County Pageant on Friday at Brewton Parker College.
The pageant will start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5for children, 12 and younger.

The 2007 Miss Independence Day Pageant is still looking for contestants for Saturday’s pageant. Entries will be received until June 15.

The pageant will be presented at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Long County High School lunchroom.
Practice is at 7 p.m. Friday but it is not mandatory.
Judges will score each contestant on beauty, poise, personality and overall appearance. Score sheets will be given out after crowning.
Prettiest smile and best-dressed winners in each age division will receive an award.
The entry fee is $50, and includes beauty, best dress, prettiest smile and overall.
Age divisions are as follows: Baby (birth-1 year), toddler (2-3 years), tiny (4-6 years), petite: (7-9 years), pre-teen (10-12 years), Junior Miss (13-15 years), Miss (16-18 years) and Mrs./Ms. (19-39)
