ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. — Parker’s Convenience Stores announces Liz Howard as its new vice president of operations. Howard will replace Chuck King in the position, who is retiring after more than 20 years of service to the company.

“Liz has been a stellar employee and store manager for Parker’s, and she will serve us well in her new role,” said Patrick Parker, president of Parker’s Convenience Stores on St. S imo n s Island. “She is always willing to do what is necessary to make Parker’s the best convenience store chain in Coastal Georgia, and we are proud to name her as our new VP of operations.”

Howard is a homegrown hire for Parker’s. She first came to the company as a cashier in 2004 working at the Hinesville location. She soon was promoted to a managerial role and eventually went on to win Manager of the Year four times while serving as a store manager.

In her new role, Howard will oversee operations of 11 Parker’s Convenience Stores in Glynn, Wayne, Liberty, McIntosh, and Appling counties.

Howard will replace King, who Parker said set a high bar in managing the day-to-day operations at all Parker’s locations in Coastal and Southeast Georgia.

“We will miss Chuck,” Parker said. “He has done an excellent job for this company, and he is leaving some big shoes to fill. We wish him well in his future endeavors.”
