Wind has apparently caused problems with power in parts of Hinesville.
Maintenance personnel for Georgia Power told Coastal Courier employees that wind had knocked out one of the feeder lines into the city, knocking out power in some areas and causing brownouts in others.
The Courier office and others along south Main Street were among those affected.
With line crews still working, Georgia Power estimated it would be late afternoon when the problem was fixed. It was unclear how many customers were affected.
