Police are searching for a man, who robbed a sandwich shop at gunpoint Friday night.

The armed robbery occurred shortly after 9 p.m. at The Subway in the 700 block of Veterans Parkway in Hinesville.

The surveillance video obtained by the Coastal Courier shows a mustacheod man, wearing a white hat, sunglasses, black shorts and shirt entering the store. The man goes into a restroom, comes out and lingers around the counter, prior to placing an order with a female clerk.

As he is talking to the clerk the suspect pulls out a small silver pistol and demands that she hand over the cash.  After holding up the store he walks out and leaves the area on foot.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

Hinesville Police Det. Tracy Howard said the man's mustache was pencil thin at the tips and gapped in the middle. He is about 6 feet tall.

He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
