The suspect in the Saturday morning fatal shooting outside the Cream Sports Bar and Lounge has been charged with murder and aggravated assault.

Marcus Gunn had his first appearance bond before a magistrate at the Liberty County Regional Jail Sunday afternoon. He was denied bond, according to Hinesville Police Det. Joshua Heath.

Gunn is accused of shooting Eric Turner, a bouncer at the nightclub, about 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Heath said Turner and other bouncers were clearing the parking lot after the club had closed. They were also trying to break up an argument, when Turner approached car with three men in it. One of them brandished a gun, but it was batted away. That is when Gunn, who was driving, pulled a gun and fired three shots, the detective said. One of the bullets hit Turner in the face.

Gunn was later arrested after a traffic stop. Heath said a weapon was recovered.

Sunday, Heath said no other charges have been filed, including against the other men in the car, but that other charges are possible as the investigation continues.
