Dirt bike crash kills soldier

A Fort Stewart soldier who died Saturday while riding his dirt bike has been identified. Spc. Michael Lee Myers, 33, of Greenville, Tenn., served as a wheeled-vehicle mechanic with Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion.
Myers was killed when he lost control of his dirt bike while riding at an all-terrain vehicle park in Bloomingdale. He reportedly was wearing the proper personal protective equipment.
The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command is working with the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.
