The FBI still is investigating the case of James Allen Phillips, whose body was found in late January near a pond on Fort Stewart.
In March the FBI said the dead man was Phillips, 53, was thought to have been living out of his car.
Investigators said they thought Phillips arrived in the area around December and might have been sleeping in his 1995 blue four-door Toyota Camry.
An autopsy revealed the cause
of death was a gunshot wound.

more was information was avail-
able and the investigation will continue.
