A home on the 100 block of Thornbriar Drive was damaged when a fire swept through the single-story home Friday morning.
According to Hinesville Fire Department Capt. Andy Fowler, the home sustained heavy smoke and fire damage.
Fowler said a woman and two small children were home at the time when the fire broke out shortly after 9:30 am. They escaped uninjured.
The fire, according to Fowler, burned through the roof, sending flames shooting into the air.
The cause of fire is currently under investigation.
