Fire damages mobile home

A fire Saturday night in Hinesvillle displaced a man from his home.

The fire heavily damaged a mobile home in the Eagle Creek Mobile Home Park, at 300 Brantley Drive.

Authorities said the man was asleep when the fire broke out, about 9:30 p.m., but was awakened by the fire and escaped.
Hinesville Fire Department incident commander Capt. Andra Hart said that when firefighters arrived, flames were beginning to engulf the home. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames quickly, but the exterior of the home sustained heavy damage.

The man was treated at the scene by medical personnel. His condition was not immediately available.
