Home invasion robbery in Hinesville

A home invasion robbery was reported to Hinesville Police Monday evening.

HPD Det. Kyle Larimore reported that about 6:30 a woman answered a knock on the door of her home in the 1000 block of Pineland Avenue. She was carrying a boy about 1 year old at the time.

Two gun-toting men were at the door, reportedly threatened her, grabbed the child and demanded money. She gave them an undisclosed amount of cash and a game system.

Larimore said police set road blocks and other surveillance measures, including dogs, around the area. But the suspects had not been arrested two hours later.

He described the suspects as black men.  One was light skin young man, about 5’5” with dreadlocks and wearing blue jeans and blue shirt. The second was described as 5’10” with short hair and wearing blue jeans white collared shirt.

The victim reported to police that both men ran away from her home.
