A Jesup woman was injured when a semi ran into the back of her car Wednesday morning in Hinesville, according to Hinesville Police.
She was flown by air ambulance to a Savannah hospital for treatment.
The woman, driving a Ford Mustang, was stopped at a traffic light on West Oglethorpe Highway in front of Walmart when the driver of a semi-tractor trailer was apparently distracted and struck the Mustang from behind. Neither the woman or truck driver have been identified.
She was flown by Medical Air Evac to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, her condition is unknown according to Hinesville Police Department Traffic Accident Investigator Jeremy Craig.
