Recent reports filed with the Ludowici Police Department include:
Aug. 18, Juvenile complaint — A woman met with an officer at the police department in reference to her juvenile son missing. The complainant stated the school informed her that her son was not present that day.
The mother then called her home and was told by her daughter that she hadn’t seen the missing boy since 3:30 p.m. A look-out was put out for the boy. Police were later told he was found hiding around the home, scared he was going to be punished for skipping school.
Aug. 22, Entering auto — A man reported around 9 a.m. that his vehicle had been broken into sometime overnight. The victim said he’d left his rear passenger window down and there was no damage to the vehicle. Complainant listed his leather wallet, driver’s license, a credit card and $132 in cash taken The victim suspects juveniles who live on his street.
Aug. 23, Accident — There was a wreck on North McDonald Street prior to 8 a.m. One vehicle was passing another in a no-passing zone on the left side and sideswiped the second vehicle, causing moderate damage. There were no reported injuries. Driver 1 was cited for improper passing.
