The Multi Agency Crack Enforcement Drug Task Force opened 47 cases with 58 offenders during February.
Agents seized narcotics and illegally obtained prescription pills that have an estimated street value of $70,702. More than $7,900 in US currency was seized, along with four vehicles with an estimated value of $1,800.
Eight cases were closed with no arrests.
Among the drugs seized were 13 rocks of cocaine, 11.31 ounces of powdered cocaine, 13.94 ounces of marijuana, an 8.8 pound brick of compressed marijuana, two marijuana plants, 82 MDMA pills, 26 Elavil pills, two Voltaren pills, nine Norvasc pills, one Naporsyn, one Indocin and four Naproxan pills.
Charges pending litigation include; Possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, Possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana within 1,000 feet of public housing, possession with intent to distribute marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, manufacturing marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine within 1,000 feet of housing, possession with intent to distribute cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, trafficking of cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute MDMA, possession of dangerous drug, possession of firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of knife during crime, tolls of crime, fleeing and attempting to elude, defective equipment, tag light violation, suspended driver's license, suspended tag no insurance, speeding, open container, stop sign violation, tampering with evidence, obstruction of law enforcement officer, failure to maintain, no proof of insurance, concealed weapon, DUI, no tag, improper left turn.
MACE continues to educate agents and took the following educational course in February; security and integrity, GMA driver simulator, Taser re-certification, Taser qualification, public safety driver training, terminal agency coordinator certification and GCIC inquiry certification.
