MACE opened a total of 48 cases with 72 offenders and confiscated narcotics and controlled substances with a monetary street value of $31,344 during January.
The agents also seized two vehicles worth $800 and took 10 weapons off the street. Among the drugs seized in January were: 14 cocaine rocks, 7.7 grams of powdered cocaine, 1 gram of crack cocaine, 1 pound, 7 ounces of marijuana, 5 marijuana plants, 4 oxycodone pills, 21 over the counter Brochiltars, 44 phenobarbital pills, 6 metaxalone pills, and 81 Nuproxen pills.
Agents continued training at courses on basic narcotics investigation and shotgun certification.
Charges filed in January include; possession of marijuana, sale of marijuana, manufacturing marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, sale of cocaine, two charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime, arrest for other agency, possession of a dangerous drug, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of public school, speeding, possession of tools of the crime, suspended driver's license, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, possession of drug related objects, DUI, probation violation, open container, illegal alien, harboring illegal aliens, disorderly conduct, escape, hindering apprehension, reckless driving, discharge of a firearm in city limits, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of stolen property.
