Attorneys made opening statements Thursday morning in the murder trial of Richard Geiger, who is charged in the March 2007 death of his girlfriend, Rosie Smith, in her Raintree Apartment on Saunders Avenue.
A jury of five women, seven men and two male alternates received orders from presiding Superior Court Judge Jay Stewart and listened as Atlantic Judicial Circuit Assistant District Attorney Russell Mabrey and Public Defender Brett Williams made introductory remarks.
