Midway homicide suspect arrested

Liberty County Sheriff Steve Sikes has said Randall Futch, the suspect in the homicide of Dana Zeigler, 54, of 3104 Luke Road, lot 8 has been captured in Bulloch County at an address he was known to frequent. 

Details of the arrest have not been released. Law enforcement in Bulloch County had the residence under surveillance. Futch, driving Zeigler's vehicle, showed up and was apprehended around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim and a suspect in death of a Midway area woman Friday night.
Sheriff Steve Sikes identified the victim as Dana Zeigler, 54, of 3104 Luke Road, lot 8 and the suspect as Randall Joey Futch Jr., 32. His address was not available. He is described as white male approximately 6’1, 190 lbs. He is believed to be driving a silver, 2003 Buick Century with Georgia tags- BZB7968.
Futch is wanted at this time for the death of Zeigler and the theft of her vehicle, the sheriff said. He is considered to be violent and caution should be used if you see him.
Deputies were called to Zeigler’s mobile home just after 8 p.m. after a call to 911 said she was found unresponsive.
The cause of death was not reported, not what led authorities to suspect Futch.
