Fort Stewart Forestry Branch will burn in two training areas on post today, according to a news release from the post:

1. 597 acres 12 miles northwest of the cantonment area and four miles north of the Taylors Creek fire tower. Flames will not be visible from any highways.

2. 200 acres 14.5 miles west-northwest of the cantonment area and about five miles southwest of the Taylors Creek fire tower. Flames will be visible from Highway 144 West.

Winds are predicted to be out of the northwest at 12-16 mph so smoke could affect the cantonment area and Hinesville.
