A woman died in a four-wheeler wreck early Saturday, Long County Sheriff Craig Nobles said.

Melissa Smith-McCullough was killed around 2 a.m. after she lost control of the four-wheeler she was driving and it struck a tree on Darwell Long Road, Noble said. 

A second woman also was riding the four-wheeler, Nobles said, but her name and condition could not immediately be confirmed.

A memorial service for Smith-McCullough has been set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington.
