Woman uses gun to rob another unloading groceries

The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted armed robbery about 9:30 p.m. Thursday on Live Oak Church Road.

The victim told deputies she was unloading groceries at her home when a woman, who she doesn’t know, approached her. The assailant pointed a gun at the victim, demanded money and ordered the resident into her home. The victim refused go inside and escaped unharmed by running to a neighbor’s home.

The assailant was described as white and between 180-200 pounds. She was wearing a blue or green pullover hoodie, blue jeans and black boots.

Investigators are asking anyone with information that could lead to the assailant to call Det. Chris Reed or Capt. Doug Snider at 912-368-3911 or 912-876-4555.
