Savannah Technical College was recently recognized by the Technical College System of Georgia for having the valedictorian GED® student in the state of Georgia and highest annual enrollment increase in fiscal year 2018.
STC adult education student Kathryn Rose Thompson was awarded as the Valedictorian for the state of Georgia. She had the highest GED® test scores of any student in Georgia. Thompson is currently enrolled at the University of South Carolina at Buford, S.C.
“It was a pleasure having Ms. Thompson as a student,” said Bernard Gouck, Savannah Technical College Adult Education Instructor. “She came in with the mindset of knowing what she needed and achieving it. I am proud of her accomplishment and know that she will be successful in whatever career she chooses.”
