Hinesville and its Downtown Development Authority have set an “architectural scavenger” hunt in conjunction with Georgia Cities Week.

The prizes have not been detailed, but information put out said the contest is to give people some fun, some information about downtown locations and some chances to win prize packages.

Cities Week is a drive by the Georgia Municipal Association to put activities in cities across the state. In Hinesville, the authority has scheduled an Earth Day Celebration and Public Services Day for 3:30-5:30 p.m. April 22, a Progress Through People Luncheon at San’s Hotel and Suites from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. April 23, a Downtown Employee Appreciation Day with a concert by the Restless Rebels from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. April 24, and a Downtown Showcase featuring a concert by the Equinox Jazz Orchestra and late shopping from 7-9 p.m. on April 25.
