Scott’s All Stars Mentoring and Leadership Program proudly celebrated the graduation of its 2025 cohort. The program, founded by Dr. Marcus Scott IV, guides young leaders through a transformative, year-long journey that emphasizes leadership, character development, and community impact.
This year, 80 students applied, 40 were accepted, and 20 persevered to complete the rigorous nine-month program. Graduates met one Saturday each month, dedicating countless hours to their personal growth and leadership development. The program seniors have already secured over $1 million in scholarships for eight seniors and 100 percent college acceptance, reinforcing its commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders.
Special Recognition and Awards:
• Marcus Scott Scholarships – Awarded to Jerome Brown III (Long County High), Geovanni Pacheco, and Tamira Gordon (Liberty High), each receiving $500.
• Perfect Attendance Scholarships – Awarded to Tianna Thursby, Qy’Dasia LeCounte, Terrance White and McKenzie Blanchard, each receiving $500 for their exceptional commitment.
The graduation dinner, hosted by Marcus Scott V, featured an inspiring keynote address from Riceboro Mayor Chris Stacy. Special recognition was given to the program’s dedicated mentors and facilitators, including:
• Mentors: Tiffany Whitlock, who received the “Most Dedicated Mentor” award.
• Facilitators: Melissa Langley, recognized as the “Most Dedicated Facilitator” for her unwavering support and leadership.
Graduates also presented their capstone projects, each addressing a unique challenge facing Liberty County, demonstrating their ability to innovate and lead within their communities.
The program will resume in September 2025, with applications available through local school counselors in August.
